Summary
"Cookies" here covers cookies and equivalent technologies such as local storage and session storage. Strictly necessary storage is used to run the site and the client portal. Everything else is off until you allow it.
No advertising or cross-site tracking technology is embedded in this website.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary (always on) — Needed for the site to work: signing in to the client portal, keeping a session, submitting forms, security, and remembering this cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics (off until allowed) — Measurement of how pages are used so the site can be improved. No analytics technology runs unless it is listed on the cookie page and, where consent is required, you have allowed this category.
- Preferences / functionality (off until allowed) — Optional conveniences that remember choices you make, such as interface settings. Turning this off does not affect core functionality.
- Marketing (off until allowed) — Advertising or cross-site measurement technologies. None are in use today; this control exists so your choice is already recorded if that ever changes.
What is actually stored today
Visitor counter: we count visits with a small counter on our own server. It sets no cookie and uses no local storage, so nothing is stored on your device and it does not need your consent. It does not keep your IP address or browser details, and it respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
Strictly necessary
- cv_session — a secure, HTTP-only cookie set by this website when you sign in to the client portal, so you stay signed in. It is not readable by page scripts, lasts up to 14 days and is removed when you sign out.
- converant.cookie-consent — local storage entry recording your cookie choice and when you made it, so we do not ask again on every page.
- converant.portal.active-project — local storage entry in the signed-in portal remembering which of your projects you last had open.
Stored only when you use a feature
- cv-theme — local storage entry saving your light or dark display choice. It is written only if you use the theme toggle.
- Calendly booking window — nothing from Calendly is loaded until you open “Book a call”. Once you do, Calendly’s scheduling page runs inside the window and may set its own cookies or storage under Calendly’s policies; we do not control or read them.
Analytics, preferences and marketing
Nothing is currently loaded in these categories. If that changes, the specific technology, its provider and its purpose will be listed here before it runs.
Managing your choice
You can accept all, reject everything non-essential, or set each category individually. Your decision is stored on this device and applies until you change it.
No choice recorded on this device yet.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop the client portal from working — you will not be able to stay signed in.
Changes
When we add or remove a technology, we update this page and, where consent is required, ask again. See also the privacy notice. Questions: hello@converant.co.uk.
